(A) Main Character BIOs and History

Jessica Lucas as
             Dr. Aliana Fedora Sinclair
Aliana is believed to have been born in 1984 on July 8th, somewhere in Egypt. She was found that day (only hours old) by American Dr. Robert Sinclair and his wife Fedora Sinclair, while on an archeological find. The couple, who could not have children, spent over a year trying to adopt the girl, after her parents could not be found. A woman from a near by village had given birth earlier that same day to a boy, but denied giving birth to twins and abandoning the girl. Aliana spent much of her early childhood traveling around the world with her parents, searching for artifacts and studying foreign cultures. At a very young age, the Sinclairs realized that Aliana was extraordinarily intelligent. They sent her to study at various universities in England and in the U.S. in 1996 at the young age of 12 years old.
While attending several Universities between 1996 and 2007 Aliana received Doctorate Degrees in Archeology, Anthropology, Bio Chemistry, Bio Engineering, Engineering, and Astrophysics. In her spare time she received her medical license and Studied Music and Art. During that time she met Dr. Daniel Jackson while he was speaking at a conference, and learned that he was an acquaintance of her parents. Aliana developed a great admiration for Dr. Jackson which often seemed more like a school girl crush. Though they rarely would see each other in person, they often joked about sharing a birthday, and annually send each other a birthday card. She also did a brief internship with Dr. Carson Beckett, whom she also holds in high regards.
In the fall of 2008, at the age of 24, Aliana began teaching at the Institute. She was contacted by the government on a few occasions, for assistance. Once, she and her parents where asked to find an ancient artifact ( which was actually a missing piece of alien technology). Twice she was asked to decipher  and unlock technology that was found by the government, but the true nature of the technology (ie. alien) was not disclosed to her.
She was contacted numerous times by the NSA, but refused to be recruited by them. She found their representatives to be cunning and untrustworthy. When the SGC tried to recruit her, she refused because the NSA made her distrust secret agencies. She continued to have limited involvement helping the government when needed.
In March 2011, Robert and Fedora are killed in a plane crash while on their way to do research in a foreign country, leaving Aliana with no known living relatives.
Aliana is very beautiful, and has a charming and friendly personality. Due to her intense studies and high standards, she has had very few dates and no long term relationships. She longs for a family and even hopes to have children some day.

Michael Shanks as
Dr. Daniel Jackson
Daniel was probably born in *1970 on July 8. When Daniel was eight years old, he bore witness to a horrific scene as he helplessly watched his parents' die. Clair and Melburn Jackson were establishing a new exhibit in the Manhattan Museum of Art when a column of stone fell on them and crushed them both. Daniel was taken into the custody of foster parents; his grandfather, Nicholas Ballard (also an archaeologist), did not take him in.
Jackson grew up to become an eager archaeologist and specialist in ancient cultures and myths. He apprenticed Dr. David Jordan alongside friends Sarah Gardner (with whom Jackson was romantically involved for a time) and Steven Raynor, digging deep into the mysteries of the past. Daniel held to his belief that the great pyramids of Egypt were landing platforms for alien spacecraft, and was ridiculed by the academic community for those ideas. As it turned out, a chance encounter with a mysterious woman, Dr. Catherine Langford, gave him his chance to prove his theories were, indeed, true. Soon he deciphered the seventh symbol of those constellations, enabling the activation of a mysterious object called the Stargate -- for the first time in more than 50 years.
Jackson accompanied Colonel O'Neill and the first team to the world of Abydos, where he helped to defeat the Goa'uld Ra. An Abydonian native, Sha're, was presented to him as a gift by her father Kasuf, leader of the Abydonian people. An unexpected present indeed, Jackson chose to remain with the new culture after falling in love with Sha're and reopening the door to allow the others to return home.
One year later Jackson welcomed the return of O'Neill and several members of the team, including Samantha Carter. He told them he had come to learn that the Stargate goes to many other worlds. After they had left him on Abydos, Jackson had begun exploring and discovered a map room with gate coordinates to Stargates spanning the galaxy.
Sha're was captured by Apophis and became host to his Goa'uld queen Amonet. Daniel joined SG1 to find her and fight the Goa'uld. She later, with Daniel's help gave birth to the harsisus  child named Shifu is cared for by the ascended Oma Desala. Sha're died when her Goa'uld host Amonet was killed by Teal'c.
*In early 2001, SG1 was captured on the frozen planet Olar by Admin. Caldren, and brainwashed. They where sent into a labor camp which powered the elaborate domed city. He was  brainwashed to believe his only friend was a young woman named Kegan, in order to keep him separate from the rest of SG1. Thanks to a persistent Teal'c, they soon discovered the truth and with the help of Brenna ( Admin. Caldren's assistant) the enslaved population was liberated.
Daniel was exposed to dangerous levels of radiation while saving the lives of millions of people on the planet Langara. While he lay near death Oma Desala offerd him the knowlege to ascend.
While Daniel was ascended with the Ancients, he saw many things but was unable to help. He bent the rules in order to help Col. O'neil, and Teal'con separate occasions. When Anubis threatened to destroy Abydonia, Daniel interfered by promising to help them. Oma Desala allowed the Abydonians to ascend, but Daniel was exiled as punishment.
SG1 later found Daniel on the planet Vis Uban, after he had his memories stripped. They brought him back to Earth where he later regained his memory.
Daniel also unlocked the mystery of the 9th chevron leading The SGC to the Pegasus galaxy and the Lost City of Atlantis. He also became a Priorin order to help stop the Ori from overtaking the entire Galaxy.
Currently Daniel Jackson is still working with the SGC, but he is not part of SG1. he remains good friends with all the former team members and works closely with them at the SGC.

Jackson's knowledge and razor-sharp wit is key to encounters with alien civilizations and displaced human colonies across the galaxy. Sometimes awkward, sometimes socially inept, he is driven, intelligent, and an invaluable member of the Stargate program.

Ben Browder as
Colonel Cameron Mitchell
Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell is the commanding officer of SG1, following the promotion of Jack O'Neill  to Major General and the disbanding of the original SG-1 team. Mitchell is a daring fighter pilot, who led an F-302 squadron in the battle with Anubis' forces over Antarctica.
Mitchell and his co-pilot, Adam Banks, were shot down during the battle, in which they destroyed an enemy Al'Kesh. Banks was killed, but Mitchell survived, though seriously injured. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, and gradually recovered. O'Neill promised him anything he wanted if he recovered; Mitchell chose SG-1 because he wanted to be on the front-lines with the best.
Upon his arrival at Stargate Command, Mitchell learned from new base commander General Hank Landrey that Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson had taken new assignments, while Teal'c had left Earth. Cameron was to lead the new SG-1 ... but the Colonel had difficulty finding anyone worthy of joining his team. He appealed to the former members of SG-1 to return, but was initially turned down. However, events took a hand, and he finally found himself in charge of the team he really wanted and led them for 4 years. He continues to lead SG1 even though Teal'c, Carter, and Jackson are no longer a part of SG1.
Mitchell is a highly competent and enthusiastic leader, dedicated to military service and excited to be a part of the team he has until now only watched from the outside.
Mitchell was born on April 28, 1970. He grew up in Kansas on a small farm and is an only child.
       * He once had a relationship with Dr. Carolyn Lam. He and Vala Mal Doran have gone out together on occasion, but prefer to date casually, and see other people.
Claudia Black as
Vala Mal Duran

*Vala is believed to be born around the Earth year 1974, though her true birthdate is not known. Once a thief and a con artist, Vala Mal Doran is currently part of SG1. At the age of 13, her father sold her into slavery in order pay off his debts, to a war lord Fal Tron. Vala lived in fear because of the horror stories told to her about Fal Tron, by her father. As she got older Vala grew concerned about Fal Trons intentions towards her , so she killed him and won her freedom. From her late teens on Vala was on her own becoming very street savvy. She made a living scamming, trading, stealing, and selling things. She is brash and self-confident, and disguises her true, sensitive character with humor and innuendo.
Vala was once host to the Goa'uld Qetesh, who ruled over her world. Years ago the Tok'ra incited a rebellion there and the Goa'uld was overthrown, according to her story. Vala, as its host, was tortured and beaten by her former subjects. But the Tok'ra took pity on her, as a helpless host, and removed the symbiote and nursed her back to health.
Jackson and Vala first met when the thief, disguised as a Kull warrior, got on board the Earth ship Prometheus(bound for Atlantis) and hijacked the ship. Daniel managed to retake the ship. Vala claimed that she needed the ship to save her people, but she was actually trying to sell it to an alien named Tenat, for the Lucian Alliance.
Vala later returned to SGC and bound herself and Jackson with a kor mak bracelett to convince the SGC to help her. She was later burned to death by villagers, and returned to life by a Prior. Vala remained at SGC for  a while due to the effects of the kor mak. While there she occompanied SG1 on a few missions.
Vala later risked her life to stop the Ori from building a supergate. She was taken by the Orri and impregnated with the Orisi. They left her in the village Ver Isca on a planet worshiping the Ori. There she married a man named Tomin. She gave birth to Adria the Orisi, and was later rescued by Daniel and SGC.
She worked diligently with SGC helping to fight off the Ori and was finally made a member of SG1. She continues to work as a member of SG1.
Because of their history together, Vala and Daniel Jackson have a special, love-hate relationship. *She likes to play the field, and has no intention of being tied down in a relationship. She and Cam Mitchell have gone out a few times between 2009 and 2012, but prefer to keep things casual.
